Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2023, Volume 18, Issue 3, doi: 10.1007/s11465-023-0753-3

Abstract: tracking of the four-wheeled mobile robot (FMR), existing methods resolve the tracking control and obstacleTo address this challenge, this paper proposes an obstacle-circumventing adaptive control (OCAC) frameworkBy introducing sub-target points, a new sub-target dynamic tracking regression obstacle avoidance strategyis presented to transfer the obstacle avoidance problem into a dynamic tracking one, thereby reducingthe burden of local path searching while ensuring system stability during obstacle circumvention.

The Effect of Fire Source with Sand on the Temperature of Compartmental Fires

Song Hu,Yang Lizhong,Fan Weicheng,Weng Wenguo

Strategic Study of CAE 2002, Volume 4, Issue 5,   Pages 59-62

Abstract:

When compartment fire reaches flashover, the temperature rises rapidly, resulting in the ignition of all surfaces of the combustibles within the compartment. In this paper, the suppression method of adding sand into the fire source (gasoline) is discussed. Through assuminga transition layer below the surface of sand, the combustion process of the fire source can be simplified. It is found that the time to the peak value of the upper layer temperature, the peak value itself and the rate of extinguishment have obvious dependence on the volume ratio of sand to the fire source (gasoline) . Experimental results show that the theoretical analy is reasonable.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2020, Volume 21, Issue 5,   Pages 649-808 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1900518

Abstract: With the development of sensor fusion technologies, there has been a lot of research on intelligent ground vehicles, where is one of the key aspects of vehicle driving. is a complicated task, which involves the diversity of obstacles, sensor characteristics, and environmental conditions. While the on-road driver assistance system or autonomous driving system has been well researched, the methods developed for the structured road of city scenes may fail in an because of its uncertainty and diversity. A single type of sensor finds it hard to satisfy the needs of because of the sensing limitations in range, signal features, and working conditions of detection, and this motivates researchers and engineers to develop and system integration methodology. This survey aims at summarizing the main considerations for the onboard multi-sensor configuration of intelligent ground vehicles in the s and providing users with a guideline for selecting sensors based on their performance requirements and application environments. State-of-the-art methods and system prototypes are reviewed and associated to the corresponding heterogeneous sensor configurations. Finally, emerging technologies and challenges are discussed for future study.

Experimental Studies on Fire Extinguishment Efficiency of Water Mist With Obstruction Pool Fires

Fang Yudong,Liu Jianghong,Liao Guangxuan,Lin Lin

Strategic Study of CAE 2006, Volume 8, Issue 2,   Pages 75-79

Abstract:

In fire environments, the traditional fire extinguishing agents can't effectually put out a fire which is sheltered by barrier. Now, a lot of water mist fire extinguishing researches have been made . This paper mainly studies the validity of water mist fire extinguishing and investigates the controlling and extinguishing effects of water mist fire extinguishing when barrier exists. At the same time, this paper also studies how the key factors, including opening degree between nozzle and barrier, water mist pressure, water mist flux and so on, influence the fire extinguishing validity, analyzes the water mist fire extinguishing characters when barrier exists, gives the reason why the water mist can't put out a fire in some conditions, and provides references for practical engineering application.

Experimental Study on Relationship Between Mass Loss Rate and Smoke Transportation to the Distant Location in Fires

Feng Wenxing,Yang Lizhong,Fang Tingyong,Huang Rui,Fan Weicheng

Strategic Study of CAE 2005, Volume 7, Issue 1,   Pages 81-85

Abstract:

The various materials as fuel are burnt in an experimental device of Room-Corridor structure, the mass loss rate of which, and the relationship of the mass loss rate with the smoke transportation velocity and CO concentration at a distant location are studied in detail in this paper. It describes the characteristics of mass loss rate of various materials and indicates that the smoke transportation velocity is a linear function of mass loss rate, and is sensitive to the variation of the mass loss rate. It takes a relatively long time for the peak of the toxic species concentration to transport to the distant location.
